An insight on Justin Rose
Justin Rose, a professional English golfer, is one of the most prominent figures on the fairways.
Rose broke into the professional level back in 1998.
Rose is one of the top contenders of any tournament he participates in, having recorded thirteen profession wins to his credit.
When the Englishman stepped into the professional arena, he faced numerous problems, failed to make the cut in the twenty one events.
He earned his first Tour card in 1999, after clinching fourth place in the Qualifying School.
Throughout the course of his professional career, Rose has had highs and lows, but the 32-year-old always came out on top of his game after a bad show.
He plays on the Professional Golf Association Tour and the European Tour, having won four tournaments on the PGA Tour and five on the European Tour. He has certainly made an impact on the
sport.
Rose has a respectable record on the major championships, back in 2007, he shared fifth place in the Masters Tournament and was thus his best performance in the tournament to date.
His record in the U.S Open is quite similar to that on the Masters Tournament but was in 2003.
The year that the Englishman turned professional saw him clinch fourth place in The Open Championship. The feat is his best performance in the tournament.
His record on the PGA Championship is comparatively quite better than the other major championships.
Thanks to exceptional stroke play on the American fairways, the Englishman shared the third place during his previous season in the PGA Championship.
He became the European Tour Order of Merit winner in 2007 after putting up a laudable performance throughout the season.
Although Rose has not clinched as many titles as he deserves, he has performed consistently and has threatened a place on top of the leaderboard more often than not.
A few weeks prior to the culmination of the 2012 season, the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, where Rose was seen contending for the title alongside the top players on the European Tour.
Rory McIlroy played magnificently, and hats off to him for a flawless run during the tournament. But Rose’s efforts were not to be left unnoticed, as he made one the best comebacks of his
career to threaten the Northern Irish golfer McIlroy, for his lead.
Although the Englishman failed to lift the trophy, he showed that he was still a force to reckon with.
With a few decent results to his name during the 2012 season, Rose is likely to rise and make his mark on the tour yet again.
There are barely any English golfers that can be matched to his caliber, therefore to live up to the expectations of his fans, the Englishman will have to rise to the occasion and perform.
