An interesting sport or hobby that I can become good at (at home preferably or in the garden/park)?

I just want a new hobby. I use to ice skate but it's got boring and all my friends have left so I left about a week ago. I like to keep active though. I also have a friend who is constantly laughing and picking on me because she's 'better then me at everything'. I admit, she's a brilliant runner, I'm not going to be biased. I just want a good hobby.

I make jewelry occasionally, mostly for myself.  I have also sold some of the jewelry that I have made.

I also do photography.

perfect answer..... martial arts....... with your experience in skating and freerunning you'll be a natural....... and you'll have the extra confidence to ignore your friend and be happy in your own talents....... i recommend aikido for you.... it can be dynamic without aggression........ buy a self tutor dvd  or better still join a class.......

how about cross stitching. You cna do it anywhere. I love cross stitching. I taek it everywhere with me to work on.

Why not try cross-stitching? Great fun, cheap, creative too, and you can always exchange your ideas and even works with other people who have the same hobby!
