The President of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan has broken the silence that the club has been operating under for the past few weeks and issued strong statements against the referees.
The failure of the referee to award a penalty to the Nerazzurri after the lanky defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Davide-Astori-c10639, has been the final straw for the Nerazzurri boss. He has lashed out at the referees and has been
vociferous in his complaints towards the set of referees who have been the officials of the matches they have featured in the Serie A in the past few match days.
The usually outspoken oil baron has kept the lid on the refereeing decisions that have been going against the Nerazzurri in the past few days and his resilience has finally been broken by the continuous strings of refereeing errors that have haunted the
team. The Nerazzurri outfit have had a number of matches where they have felt referees have not sided with them, and it was not the match against Juventus that highlighted this for them.
It started against Catania in the Serie A, where the Beneamata have felt they were not given any shot of fairness during the matches. While commenting on their last three matches in the Serie A, Moratti complained that this is the third consecutive match
that they have been subjected to refereeing decisions not going in their favour.
Moratti went so far as to suggest the controversy of the Calciopoli scandal during his speech, and also stated that there was no doubt in the awarding of a penalty, but remained puzzled as to why the referees kept on missing. A visibly irked Moratti was
in no mood to fool around and advised the media to highlight the situation, and remarked:
“It is a great shame and I would hate to return to certain situations of the past. Let’s not joke around here, the penalty was clear as day. You journalists need to analyse these incidents. I am irritated by certain pundits who try to save face by saying
it wasn’t a penalty. Some entertain themselves by pretending it wasn’t a penalty, but if that’s not a spot-kick then I don’t know what is.”
The draw against Cagliari puts the team level on points with Fiorentina, who were the winners on the 13th match day of the Serie A.
