  1. It is possible that she is having problems with allergies. This breed is very prone for allergy problems.

  2. She probably has dry skin. I would recommend buying 'The Missing Link,' and some natural Fish Oil from Petco to put on her food. My little dog recently had a bad case of dry skin, and I couldn't even see the flakes. But after applying this to her food, it was gone. Good luck.

  3. Allergies could be caused by food.

If you are feeding anything with corn, soy, wheat, colors, and grains look into feeding a grain free food such as Wellness core, Blue wilderness, taste of the wild, Evo, or Orijen.

  4. i have a shih tzu and she had the same problem. i keep her hair kinda short and watch what kind of shampoo/conditioner i use on her. use only a recommended shampoo for dogs. and dont use a blow dryer.

  5. My dogs sometimes keep itching. If it's the same area I use white vinegar and that helps. Also oatmeal shampoo and conditioner, but don't over bath.

  6. My Shih Tzu can get itchy too, Ive found that if he gets a good groom then that seems to sort it.  I assumed it was because they dont cast they the skin gets itchy when the hair needs to come out.
