(a) Is there any place along the trajectory where the velocity and acceleration are perpendicular? If so, where?

(b) Is there any place where the velocity and acceleration are parallel? If so, where?

  1. h**l if I know.. I didn't realize you could throw something below the ground. :-)) Doesn't throwing something mean you would throw it about the ground? lol

    Where did you come up with this question and why? lol


  2. a) acceleration's vector always points down

    since there is an angle involved, velocity will never be perpendicular to acceleration

    b) for an angle< 90 degrees there will not be a parallel place

    but if you thow it 90 degrees up or straight up you will have parallel between acceleration and velocity for half the flight time (when it comes down)
