An odd question about how a meat tastes. I am writing a short novel and the hero eats some strange meat.

Question

In the story, he is "on the run" because he has seen something that

he shouldn't have. Although It doesn't say that he eats dog meat,

the story HINTS that he has. Does any one know what dog tastes

like? I want the story to be accurate. (I am glad that it is fiction)

What sort of answers to you expect by posting "how a meat tastes" in the V&V section....

Ask in the Travel section under China or Viet-Nam for an expert answer as someone from that part of the world may have a real answer for you - although I've just realised that "Not Delia" has given you the information..

Will somebody please tell me why, with all these silly pop-ups occurring in the "new improved (?) version" of Yahoo, it keeps accusing me of not spelling the word THE correctly - I mean, WHAT can you do with such rubbish ! ! !

It's a bit like beef but more gamey. The bit I had was a bit stringy too.  Not nice at all, I wouldn't willingly have it again.

Dog meat is eaten in China , the Chow breed is bred for that purpose. Go to you local Chinese take away and ask them about dog meat.
