An old classic riddle?????

Question

Okay now most of us know the riddle if a tree falls in the forrest and no one is around to hear it does it make a noise. Well scientificly speaking tell me what you think does it make a noise or no?

Yes, scientifically, it does. This is actually an old philosophical question (I forget which philosopher), and the answer is supposed to be no, but it's based on false logic.

well i would think it would still make a noise but you could test by taking a recorder and setting it then make a tree fall when you get far enough away

Why does it have to be a person.  A forest is full of living things with ears that hear the tree fall.  So yes, it does make a noise.
