I am doing an assignment (poster) and the topic is:

"The environments in infant/toddler programs are planned to both support and enrich the children's learning and development and as safe, healthy and caring places for children and families"

That is one of the Principles of Care and Education for Infants and Toddlers in Group Care and I really don't know how to start and what to even write on my poster.

What are ways the environment is planned to support and enrich the children's learning and development?

what ways is it planned as a caring place for children and families?

*Photos of family posted by child's bed.

*Soft furnishings for floor play (carpet, play mat).

*Rocking chair for teacher to hold and comfort child.

*Cubby for each child to keep his belongings organized and separate from others.

*Individual schedules - all babies are different.

*Daily notes to parents to tell about baby's day.

*Soft music during and dimmed lights if most are sleeping.

*Bottle warmer - not a microwave.

*Teachers on floor with babies most of the time.

*Disposable foot covers for adults - no hard shoes, no dirt tracked in.

*Sanitized diapering area with sink and soap.

*Photos of real objects at babies' eye level.

    *Mirrors at babies' eye level.
