Question:

An "I-just-can't-win" dream?

I had a dream a few nights ago... I was competing against some other guy in a race to get an item at the top of a steel building frame at an abandoned construction site (can't remember what the item was) and race back down again before touching base.

I carefully climbed and tiptoed from beam to beam and managed to find the thing, then made my way back down, again being careful not to fall.

I rush to the bottom and make my way to the finish line and I'm greeted by the cheering applause of a small crowd of friends...then we see the other guy at the top of the building and we watch with amazement as he jumps several stories down and somehow makes a miraculous landing without getting hurt.

Even though he reaches second, he receives a much bigger applause and is pronounced the winner as the crowd excitedly carries him away...

This sucks...even in my own dreams I can't win... >_<

  1. Your dream represents how you really feel about yourself.

  2. Maybe you feel like you are constantly vying for attention with your peers, but never seem to get the recognition you deserve. I think this is stressed by the abandoned building, which maybe represents an important part of you that you feel is neglected by those around you.

Because you were so careful and cautious, maybe you're too concerned about pleasing or impressing those around you and need to loosen up, or maybe you feel like you're really doing the right things and being a generally good person, yet somehow you don't receive the praise you'd expect.
