Question:

An "interesting" transcription of Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries"? or, maybe just weird?

Ran across this, while doing some research on British composers.

You'll have to wait a few seconds for the music to come on.

What do you think? Interesting? Odd? Not at all surprised? Why bother?

  1. Sounds 8-bit, like a level to a handheld video game. I found it kind of odd, as most compositions sound WAY better when played live than transcribed/transposed.

  2. I vomited on Richard's behalf

  3. This makes me remember early Nintendo games.  :-)

  4. Odd? No! MIDI? Yes! Interesting? No! Who cares? Yes!

  5. Good old MIDI! You'd have thought they would have come up with something better than this by now. However, it was quirky, silly, buggy and fun. Must have taken hours!!

  6. Yeah, it's just a midi version. You can listen to all sorts of Midi arrangements at www.classicalarchives.net (I'm not suggesting that you do, but if you're interested, it's there.)

  7. I think it's pretty funny that they're still using a MIDI file.

It's interesting as to why they are using a MIDI file.

Odd that that MIDI is still in use.

    Not surprised though.

    Thanks for the good chuckle...
