An unauthorized change has been made to windows.. HELP!!?

The rest of it says: Windows has discovered a change that will result in limited Windows functionality. Use the link below to find out how to fix Windows. I click on the link and it brings me to microsoft.com/genuine. From looking at the message boards on the sight i found people who had similar problems due to software validation but i'm sure that my Windows software is genuine. When i log in there is a black screen and the message about unauthorized change. I can't access any of my files or programs and there isn't a start menu.

Sounds horrible!

Try F8 to get into safe mode. Then restore to before you clicked on this link. Dunno if that will fix it but you need more info.
