I saw a light at night that was red and pulsating. it was not to far away from me. It had no noise either, totally silent. it literally zoomed so fast through the sky directly above me. It has three tear drop like glowing white lights that came out of it and then flashed the sky like a super powerful flash. then some military helicopters surrounded it and it did another tear drop flash and then took off and disappeared. it was so fast it cleared the cloud from the sky in about a 100 yard circle. Have you ever seen this? Any thoughts on what this might be?

The next day we called the airport & news and no one had any news or explanation.

  1. Sounds like a firework star shell or a flare, never presume some complex answer when a simple one might do.

  2. There's a triangular military craft that is at least partly held up by some lighter than air gas.  It doesn't move very fast.

Aurora is fast, but high flying.

Did you have a good feeling for distance?  For example, it's fairly easy to misidentify geese as far away and fast, especially at night, only to discover that they're close and slow.

  3. well I won't really know but, If military helicopters surrounded it, they may be scrambled to identify that "unknown" object... or else it maybe an experimental aircraft of the military! woah! I think that would be cool.

ah I think it would be a long time before we know... There are a lots of secrets in this world that we mostly don't know...

  4. its called the Arora, new plane,

  5. Maybe a plane?
