Ana Ivanovic and Caroline Wozniacki are the Dubai Duty Free brand ambassadors – Tennis News
New deal between the Women Tennis Association (WTA) and Dubai Duty Free features a three year contract lasting until 2014. Dubai Duty Free is one of the long lasting partners of WTA helping them to organize world class tournaments
at Dubai, UAE.
Two former world number ones, Caroline Wozniacki and Ana Ivanovic, also signed a new sponsorship contract with the Dubai Duty Free that states them their brand ambassadors for the tournament in progress. Wozniacki won the
championship last year and is back to the venue to have a successful defence of her title.
Wozniacki was questioned about her decision to become the brand ambassador and she stated, "Dubai has a special place in my heart and it feels great to return this year as defending champion of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis
Championships. Being an ambassador for Dubai Duty Free is a great honour and it gives me the opportunity to help promote one of my favourite destinations."
It is obviously a great privilege to be part of such an elite organization. Ivanovic was very excited to be chosen as the brand ambassador and stated, “I am really flattered that Dubai Duty Free asked me to become its brand
ambassador. It is a great company that has also been extremely supportive of women's tennis.”
Dubai Duty Free will air a travel show that is called “Dubai Duty Free Full of Surprises Travel Show" and both divas will be seen in action with their acting skills put into play. Everyone is eager to witness the two beauty
queens away from courts in something different and unique.
Wozniacki got a bye for the first round so she is still to take her racquet to the courts and put up a tennis show. On the other hand, Ana Ivanovic is scheduled to take on the seventh seed Italian contestant, Francesca Schiavone,
in the opening round clash on Tuesday. It will be a very cracking encounter with both players in emphatic run of form.
The Dane awaits the winner of the clash between the likes of the Romanian qualifier, Simona Halep, and the Russian tennis professional, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. The contest is heating up with several big names winning their
opening clashes that include the likes of German diva, Julia Goerges, and the former world number one, Jelena Jankovic.
