Ana Mendez question ... is she from God?

Well my cousin invited me this Saturday to attend a service where an ex-witch turned Christian will be preaching and supposedly God gave her the gift of speaking the language of any country she's in or the language of the people she's with, so she could preach to them.

So, according to some people this is something that only witches can do! The Holy Spirit would never allow you to speak a different language you didn't know out of the blue because the Holy Spirit doesn't work that way ... and it's not like she starts speaking in tongues while she's praising the Lord or anythings, she begins to speak it when she's preaching or w/e.

Is there anything in the Bible that can back up the "that doesn't work that way" theory? What do you guys think?

It could be a form of unknown tongues, I dont know. I always believed that speaking in unknown tongues was like when Jesus delivered the sermon on the mount. As he spoke every man heard it in his own language.

There's no reason why the Holy Spirit couldn't inspire her to do that.

Can she actually prove that she can speak all 6800 languages (that's not including the dead and unknown languages) of the world? Or is she just another Christian making another gargantuan claim without any evidence?

I think that is what was meant by speaking in tongues. I don't think that when people roll their tongues and make strange sounds are speaking in tongues. I believe when they spoke in tongues in the Bible they were speaking languages that foreigners could understand, then another would translate it for the rest of them to understand. So, if this lady truly can speak every language necessary for people to understand her no matter where she is, then I would say that she is speaking in tongues. I'm going to see what I can find out about her. It would be great if its true!
