Question:

Analog Converter?

I have a combination of antenna and Directv. The electrician when he installed it runs the antenna and Directv through one cable. Is there any device available to do the conversion before the split of the signal to all Tvs or is it necessary to have a converter box for each TV.

  1. Satellite TV requires a tuner for each TV. That's what the converter box does. The only way you could use one box would be if everyone wanted to watch the same channel, but in different rooms. Like maybe if you're all mad at each other.

I assume that the antenna is supplying local channels. These you could split out with an N-way splitter, available at RadioShack, HomeDepot, BestBuy or any number of other stores.
