  1. Your congressman whom allowed the passage of this discriminatory financial act for one, the DTV folk for another.  Long live dvd's and pee on the advertisers whom seconded this foolish move.  I did get a converter box and am frankly dissatisfied as the sound is sporadic, so is the video and they kan all kiss mai over this foul move.

  2. You are mis informed.

    Stop listening to ignorant people.

No kick backs, no underhanded politics although I can see where un informed people could think so.

This is the best thing to happen for free TV in years.

Don't knock till you try IT!

  3. 1. Congress decided when to shut down analog transmission.

    2. Broadcast TV is not subject to rain fades.  You are thinking of satellite.  Rain fades are due to the frequency involved - not the type of modulation.

I hope this helps.  Please return and select a Best Answer from all of those submitted.

  4. Digital TV is not blocked by storm clouds any more than analog TV. You're confusing it with satellite TV.

Digital TV uses exactly the same channel frequencies as analog TV. Only the content changes.

Get with the program, it's a done deal.

  5. I'm going to say the same people who shut down black and white broadcasts  idk about you but i haven't heard anyone complain about color tv lately   so digital cable is just leading the way toward higher quality broadcasts for everyone    you're rabbit ears aren't going to last forever and you'll eventually have to buy a set with a digital tuner

  6. Actually, broadcast digital TV is not subject to rain fade and has fewer issues/better reception than broadcast analog.

Rain fade can impact satellite TV, but that has to do with the frequency of the signal, size of the antenna, etc and again has nothing to do with the fact it is digital.
