Analog or digital signal RC car?

how do you know if a RC car you're buying uses analog or digital signals? cuz I need a digital one for a project i'm doing.

  1. I think most of them are analog.  If it has a ridicules number of functions and channels it *may* be digital...I think ZipZaps have (or had) 6 channels for racing and stepped steering/speed motors.

    Just to complicate things I've seen some advertise things like "digital channel selection" (aka it's a button to change channels instead of a switch)


  2. Hi,

         Just to let you know that when the signal actually leves the remote antenna it is analog and when it is recieved by the car it is converted back to digital. Only thing digital vs analog can do far as I can think is channel selection like the other person said from a single button. I work in the computer electronics industry its just marketing, theres really not digital signal flying through the air, its analog.
