Analog to digital converting?

Ive got an old video camera that is analog. I want to be able to convert the files to analog and play them on my computer. Ive tried connecting them with phonojacks but the computer doesn't pick it up. what should I do?

  1. Some MiniDV camcorders have a pass through feature which allows them to act as an analog / digital converter. Failing that you can use a dedicated converter such as the Kworld DVD Maker or the Pinnacle Dazzle. If you need the best quality have a look at the Canopus ADVC range.


  2. Go to Staples and get an converter kit that will allow you to plug your camera into it. It's red and odd looking. Ask associate for help. They can help you. This device will plug into the USB on your computer. It will also work with a VCR and any other audio/video equipment. It wold cost about 50 bucks. Look for the Windows logo to make sure if it's Windows compliant. If no Windows logo, it may not work.

  3. you need a video capture card for your pc...you'll be fine and it is easy to use...

  4. The problems you have i don't think it is have any thing to do with signal. More or less, the device you hook to your computer did not have a drive. So you have to set up the drive for the computer able to recognizing the hardware
