What is the role of analog designer? How can I be an analog design engineer? I do analogue design (for sensors applications), construct and test as a part of my PhD. But I am not sure if this is any good qualification for such roles. Any professionals please answer.

  1. You could work in a manufacturing plant that makes sensors and the like. p&f ifm SICK Omron Telemecanique etc are all companies that supplies sensors. In manufacturing we don't really worry about where it comes from but know what ranges and products are available we just buy and use. We also don't worry about analogues we just link most things up with digital equipment. For inductive heating you use analogues.

I would really look at machine design companies, they will be able to use your skills.
