Analysing the Gunners front line this season – Part 1
With the season coming to an end in the next few days, Arsenal, who had promised so much this time around, have failed to deliver. Another season has finished with nothing in the trophy cabinet. Arsene Wenger will now spend most of his time analysing what
went wrong and the signings he needs to make to set them on course for a piece of silverware in the coming season.
The Carling Cup defeat put Arsenal on a slippery slope which ended their quest for an unprecedented quadruple and has left them fighting automatic qualification for next seasons Champions League. The team was in tatters towards the end of the season and
compounded with the ill timing of the rise in ticket prices, Arsene Wenger has been receiving some serious stick from the fans.

Boo’s rang out load at the Emirates as Arsenal took an appreciation lap after their defeat to Aston Villa which has seriously hampered their chances of automatic qualification for the Champions League. Arsene Wenger has said that everything that is possible
will be done to strengthen the squad for next season and money is likely to be spent.

Persie was first called up to the national Dutch football squad in 2004 and since then has represented his country fifty four times and in the process has netted twenty one goals for International glory.
He was on international duty before the start of the season and was on the bench for the first two games to give him time to recuperate and get back to full fitness. He was started in Arsenal’s third game of the season against Blackburn and he picked up
an ankle injury which was the start of his four months on the sidelines.

But since the start of the New Year, the Dutchman has been in prolific goal scoring form and has notched up 21 goals in all competitions this year and has also racked up eight assists. He has been to hot to handle for the Premier League as he scored 17 times
