The harsh red card that he received at Nou Camp in the Champions League was the low point of this season and that was partly the reason for Arsenal’s loss.

Chamakh is the potent twenty-seven-year-old French striker for the Gunners. He started playing football in 1988 when he joined Nerac’s youth academy and then after moving through two more academies he got to play with the big boys in 2003 when he got signed
to Bordeaux.
Two hundred and thirty appearances and fifty six goals later the player made his first move and got signed to Arsenal and came to the Emirates. Since then he has stepped onto the football field twenty eight times and has scored seven goals.
When signed as a free transfer from Bordeaux in the summer, it was expected that the Moroccan striker would add more fire power in front of goal for the Gunners. Given his exceptional heading abilities, Arsenal had added a more potent attacking threat in the
box by signing him.
He was supposed to play as a target man with Van Persie in the free floating role behind the striker and was started in the debut match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 where he caused a goal in the last minute to carve out a draw for the gunners. He scored decisive goals in the matches against Aston Villa, Tottenham,
Partizan Belgrade, Bolton and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and Manchester United, his skill levels were showing and so was his talent.
The Moroccan has great heading ability and is almost unbeatable in the air. His extremely high work rate means that he chases down balls and tires out the defense with his quick running. He has exceptional ball control and with the ball at his feet, he is a
clever dribbler and an amazing team player. He can also act as the linkman, creating chances for others with superb one-two’s. His movement is very slick but he needs to work on his pace as he is not the quickest of strikers.
Another of his weaknesses is his shooting ability and his performance in front of the goal. This can be attributed to the lack of playing time in the second half of the campaign due to the fact that Van Persie has been in scintillating form of late.
