Analysis required please?

Last I had a dream that I was leaving a store with someone. As we were walking away from the store I noticed a guy and girl behind us. So I glanced back and the guy was "plain" and non descriptive but the girl was very short, yet she didn't seem like a little person. After looking at them, I continued to walk with the person I was with (whose identity was never really revealed). Upon arriving in the back lane to the store, I heard a very distinct "click" and turned to see the guy pointing a gun at me. Also, as I turned I noticed a silver car in the back lane that pulled away as soon as the gun was drawn, almost like they were a lookout for this guy and girl.

Before I could say anything the guy said, "which one of you is getting in the car". I was just about to volunteer myself and he pulled the trigger and shot me in the chest, then took the person I was with. Now I remember in my dream making the decision to close my eyes when I hit the pavement because in my dream i didn't feel dead yet, but as soon as I closed my eyes, I shot up in bed and was wide awake.

Here's the thing, I wasn't scared in the dream or when I woke up. This to me, is the most perplexing part of the dream because I've never had a dream where I've been shot before, or even had a gun pulled on me. I have however had dreams where I was being chased and remember feeling scared in those dreams.

Any insight as to what this could mean. Of course I have my own ideas, but it's nice to get a different opinion.

One idea is that you could be dreaming of a death that you experienced in a past life.  It may sound odd, believe me, but I've read alot of things that suggest people have led several different lives.  They can give you details about things that they couldn't possibly have known otherwise.  And this would seem to make sense considering that you were not afraid because it's something you would've already been through, therefore you know what happens.   It's really the only thing that would make sense to me.  Alot of people believe that your soul carries a "cell memory".  It's the memory of all of your past lives, heaven......whatnot.  Well, sometimes in this life, through dreams, we get a little flicker of something from before.
