Anastasia Romanov?

Do you think its possible that her or Maria, or possibly Alexei could have escaped the execution? There are bodies missing from the grave, and they had gems sewed on the inside of their clothes to hide.

I know there were several claims, mostly fake. but do you think they could have still survived and lived in hiding for security reasons :S

  1. I don't know if it was possible for the females but not for the little boy. He already had a bleeding diease and there was no way he could have survived from a gun shot wound. I've read stuff before that if he would scrap his knee, he'd be on his death bed - which is where Rasputin came in.

  2. Its possible. but there also is a possibility that the assassins dump their bodies somewhere else.

  3. Come on, get out the Fairy Tale mindset!

In my opinion, I don't think they were killed right away.  I think they were taken to a different location and  "mistreated" before they were murdered.  Then dumped where convenient.

  4. They poured acid on their bodies and burned them, so it's possible that some of the bodies would be missing because of that.

  5. None of the children survived the barbaric murders.

  6. That's a very interesting question. This year, we learned about Russia and Russian Revolution. When I read the part where Tsar Nicholas and his family were sent to live in a small village, after he was taken off the throne and then one night they were all shot, I wondered if any of them actually survived. Even in the book it said that no one knows for sure, because the bodies are missing from the grave and that when they were shot, the precious stones might've protected them from the bullets. Yeah, I think it is possible that Anastasia and maybe even her brother and sister survived and lived in hiding. Either that, or I just have a wild imagination =D

  7. I think it's a romantic notion, but I don't believe that they did survive. One, Alexi had hemophelia -- he would have bled out from gunshot wounds. It's hard to think of children being shot and their bodies dismembered and all the other stuff that was done to them, but I think  they both died that fateful night.  The bodies are probably somewhere else, and may they rest in peace.

  8. they found them. they were shot, lit on fire, blown up, and had acid poured on them, then buried. Thats taking care of business.

  9. I suppose it is possible, but quite unlikely.

  10. They all could have survived had the British Royal Family not withdrawn their offer to rescue them using a British Destroyer. Evidently, the "Windsors" didn't want more foreign royals in England. (Check any good history book to verify this!)

  11. well i dont know if its true, but in 8th grade we studied this stuff, and we watched this video on a woman who's shown legal name was Anastasia Romanov. and she didn't have name changes in court history, and well since about 6-7 years after her family died she claimed that she was Anastasia so she was probably in her 20's. and in the movie she was around 85 i think and she never stopped claiming that she was Anastasia Romanov.

sorry i dont know the video's name or anything, but this is just what i remember.

  12. yes, i think there is a high possibility.

i've read alot of books, seen alot of movies about them and ive always wondered the same question you just asked. tho no one knows so we cant say for sure..

but i believe they did survive

  13. No I think  they were murdered and buried somewhere else

  14. They were all killed. The women claiming to be Anastasia was Polish. Some years ago DNA samples were taken from the bones recovered and compared to DNA taken from Prince Phillip who was related to the Romanov's it matched, the Polish women's did not.

  15. it is definitely a possibility and in a world where we cant even trace how many immigrants are in a country, i believe it is a certainty that if they had escaped, no one would have ever noticed or found them.
