  4. She lived. She took on the identity of Edith Seligman of Louisville Ky. and was kept hidden in the Jewish community of Louisville, Ky. She had two children, eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren and counting. She worked with Gleb Botkin to train Anna Anderson (a Polish factory worker who resembled Anastasia) as a stand-in to portray her in a lawsuit against the British banks. This lawsuit was filed to recover the millions deposited by the Tzar in the banks. She lived a normal, modest life and was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She died in 1970 of an "embolism. Don't believe the nonsense about the new bodies found in 2007 and the DNA tests. That's all fabricated   She was buried in Bait Knesseth cemetary in Lousiville as a Jew even though she was always Christian.

  5. Stories of survival of one or more Romanovs (usually Anastasia or Alexi, who were the youngest children at 17 and 13, respectively) were probably created by loyalists for a number of reasons: disbelief, misinformation, or the simple need for hope in the face of a nation being violently altered.
