  1. Probably lidocaine since it is the most widely-used topical anesthetic.


  2. EKG stickers?  We monitor electrocardiographs on everyone.

    If it was surgery on the chest, it could have been a lot of things.  Betadine, chlorhexadine, bandaids, staples, chest tube, tape, pacer pads...
