Anatoliy Byshovets: Tymoshchuk cannot replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Igor-Denisov-c16694 at Zenit – Football news
Anatoliy Byshovets has stressed that Zenit St. Petersburg have not signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Kokorin-c4576 to succeed at Anzhi Makhachkala in the near future.
“I do not think Tymoshchuk can replace Denisov at Zenit. Besides, Tymoshchuk recently had little match practice and given his age factor he cannot perform at a similar level. Of course, he still got the desired skills and leadership qualities, but we must
take into account the objective reasons. After all, he will have to face problem of relationships in the team. Spalletti may have to change team tactics after his arrival. In this sense, a lot will depend on the coach to create a working atmosphere and competitive
environment. I don’t think Kokorin made a mistake to join Anzhi,” the Soviet Top League winner was quoted as saying.
The St. Petersburg club signed Tymoshchuk from Bayern Munich almost a week before selling Denisov to the Dagestani club for reportedly 15 million Euros.
Denisov said farewell to the Russian outfit, where he started his professional playing career back in 2002, after signing a three-year contract at Dynamo stadium (Makhachkala).
The 29-year-old managed to win three league titles, two domestic cups and a massive UEFA Cup during his stay at Petrovsky stadium.
Speaking on Kokorin’s departure from Dynamo Moscow, Byshovets said that the Russian striker was right to make a move given that the Moscow-based club failed to qualify for the European tournament last season.
The Dinamiki finished two points behind sixth placed Rubin Kazan on the league table, losing out a chance to play in the Europa League this time around. However, they managed to retain the seventh spot above Terek Grozny due to better goal difference.
The fact that Dynamo let Kokorin leave Arena Khimki for reportedly 20 million Euros makes Byshovets unhappy, who said that the Russian Premier League club should have demanded more money for the sale of the gifted striker from the Makhachkala-based club.
Kokorin, who managed to score 10 goals in 22 league appearances last term, reportedly signed a two-year contract at Anzhi.
