Anbody else notice this new WWE dvd re-release ?

Question

I went to Walmart over the weekend & picked up this WWE Tagged classics 2 dvd set. It has the Royal Rumble 03 & No Way Out 03. What I find interesting is that Chris Benoit is featured in this set, WWE just released this at the beginning of the month. Why is that WWE will edit Benoit on WWE.com & WWE 24/7 but not this ?

That's weird. Since they did edit Benoit from wwe.com and they still have his matches on DVD. Well in my opinion I think they editing him out of everything and not mentioning his name is all messed up. How can they edit a great wrestler just because of the actions he did. Yeah yeah, what he did was wrong but that didn't have nothing to do with his wrestling skills. I think he should be inducted to HOF. =]

becuase he was in the main event whats the point in buying something if they wont show u the main event i dont remember that he was on now way out but he did lose the angle at the rumble it was voted match of the year so thats another reason why wwe keeped it

He has too much history to ignore everything he did.  He made history in the big PPVs.  However, WWE pulled the Chris Benoit Story DVD.

Chris Benoits death was very controversial due to roid rage rumours involving WWE and also how he killed his family, its a shame but it was too controversial for the wwe, and they cant change footage that would be to disrespectful, this is bad because the WWE is beleiving the rumours of roid rage even though i think it was bogus and they feel if he was taking drugs that people would hate wwe because of superstars feeling they need drugs

I'm glad that they kept benoit's matches on those dvds, he is one of the best wrestlers of all time and even what has happened I don't think it should stop us from being able to see his matches.

That's a good point. I really don't know why. Maybe, they don't want to mention him on TV or wwe.com only.

I hope you're not complaining. Benoit was a great performer. It's their company & it looks like they don't want to show any promos, skits, or mentions in HOF speeches (if you watched Ric Flair's HOF speech, he says Mongo twice - one of the Mongo's was really Benoit).

Benoit was entertaining. Just because his wrestling ability is respected doesn't mean that anyone is condoning murdering their family & killing yourself.

WWE is testing the water to see if merchandise with Benoit will sell or not.
