In a press conference held at Camp Des Loges, Paris Saint-Germain coach, Carlo Ancelotti, has said that the race for the Championelle will go down the last day of the season with Montpellier piling the pressure
On the eve of the Ligue 1 game between Nancy Lorraine and Paris Saint-Germain (day 30 of the Championnat), Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Paris Saint-Germain, appeared at a press conference. And while the struggle for the coronation is in full swing, Ancelotti
has refuted the hypothesis suggesting that the players are showing signs of nervousness in the run in to the title race.
The former AC Milan manager believes that the title race will go down the wire and the outcome could even take as long as the last game of the season. Despite seeing Montpellier and his team enter a two-horse race, Ancelotti feels that LOSC Lille are not
far away.
The prospect of facing Nancy is also a serious one considering the fact that the relegation-threatened outfit beat the likes of Lyon and Montpellier in recent games.
“I do not think we’re afraid to win the title. I think the players are excited but they are under pressure. After 18 years without winning a title, it’s exciting to win. Do not be afraid, you have to have the motivation to be able to win.”
Motivation is something that seemingly eludes Javier Pastore. The youngster has failed to win over fans and critics and only shows his genius sporadically. And Ancelotti has admitted that Javier Pastore is not that integral to the club right now. The Italian
tactician says that the former Palermo man has just arrived in France so he will take some time to settle down.
“Pastore is not essential, like all other players. He may start on the bench in some games, it’s worth for all players. He is young, this is his first year in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899, we must have confidence in him. He is a good boy and is motivated to progress.”
Certainly, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Pastore-c18082’s form has been overly-criticised by the media in recent weeks. The youngster is playing his first full season in French football and should be given a chance to settle down and then show his unquestionable talent.
