  1. My father's side: from Norway, came in the 1880s

My mother's side: My mom's from the Philippines, came in 1982 to marry my dad

  2. My ancestors came from Scotland, Ireland, and England. The English ones were first coming here soon after the Mayflower. Then came the Ulster Scots from County Antrim, Ireland in the 17th century. They came here when English Lords were given the land. They cleared the whole county of natives. The Scots were last coming over in the 1890s. Just needing work as the European economy was awful at the time. Quite an assortment of really white people, huh.

  3. Most of my ancestors came from little towns like Eindhoven and Modliewo that kept getting run over by French, German and Russian troops on their way to blow each others' brains out. My great-grandfather's home was headquarters to a German colonel during the Battle of the Bulge. They came over to do a little bit better than "civilian target".
