  1. You just have to click on your account details, there's step by step instructions on there, good luck.

  2. You have to call customer service to close your account.  Be ready for them to  try to talk you into staying. Ifyou have already paid for a whole year, then you are "stuck" until your year is up.  If you are on a month to month plan, then it will be different.  Honestly though, from a genealogist's standpoint, you aren't going to find everything you want in a couple or few weeks.  You have to realize that genealogy is an ongoing thing and records aren't always neatly filed away by correct spelling.  Our ancestors didn't all know how to spell and they darn sure didn't have the neatest handwriting so if you are "locked" in for a while, keep plugging away at it.  I think that if you start spelling the names with alternate spellings and common misspellings, you will yield more information.

  3. You can quit using it. If you want it deleted call there cunsumer service.

  4. Have you really given it a chance yet?? They are adding new databases everyday and have billions of names available. Could I try to help you find someone on there before you totally give up on the site?? My email address is in my profile. If you can't find the person you want on ancestry.com, try their sister site--www.rootsweb.com (it is free to use).
