Ancestry:Where did i come from?

i know i have irish in me but i have light brown hair with a bit of red in it and green eyes.

  1. Hair color, eye color, so forth are not proof of anything, as far as where your ancestors came from.  The way to find where they came from, is to research, and use actual records (birth/death certificates, census, immigration records.. so forth).

    We can help you learn how to find those records... we can't find them ourselves (and records about live persons are private, anyway).

    The only way you will know where your ancestors came from is to do the research.

Wendy is correct.  Your hair and eye coloring are not important in determining your ancestry.   Since green is the national color for Ireland, it is hysterically  funny that a lot of people think the Irish should have green eyes. No doubt, romantic novelist has caused this as they will have a beautiful Irish lass with red hair and green eyes(like a Christmas tree).  I believe  that most have blue and about 35% are brown eyed.
