I only watch the CBS soaps so I cant speak about every character but if I had a choice I'd def give it to, Victor Newman on Y&R.

Worst Mom, would probably go to Glo, on Y&R.

@Cory - It's not his baby. I can't really blame him for that.  And even though he doesn't know yet, he's been tricked into this from that scheming girl, and lost the love of his life.  I wouldn't be too happy either.

I don't watch Y and R, so don't know about Victor.  I agree about James Stenbeck.  I've surprised no one has mentioned Adam Chandler.  He's not the ideal father.

Also Jason on GH, he isn't even acknowledging his child anymore.  Then there is Luke.  He disappears for months at a time and no one seems to notice.  Don't think that he is the ideal father either.  Scorpio hasn't seen his daughter for about half of his life.  But, he always appears thinking she should be thrilled to see him.

I think the worst fathers are on GH.  It's hard to pinpoint one.

I think it is Nikolas Cassidine on GH.  You never see his son any more and he doesn't even mention his name for weeks at a time.  And after Emily died and he had a brain tumor, he was going to refuse surgery so he could die and be with Emily, leaving his son an orphan.

Sonny Corinthos on GH, hands down.  He raised a budding sociopath who bought a gun and shot his father's girlfriend, then left her to die without so much as calling for help -- primarily because Daddy Of The Year told him in all seriousness that if he was caught with a gun he might as well just leave home at age 12.  Then when that little crisis was over, with nary an apology to the woman he almost killed, little Michael accompanied her to his dad's supposedly legitimate business, where he was shot and put into a permanent coma simply for standing next to his own father.  It wasn't enough that Sonny's p**s-poor parenting turned the boy into a psychological corpse; just being in the same room as Sonny effectively ended the kid's life.  And the kicker?  Sonny STILL fought tooth and nail to avoid giving up the "right" to endanger his other child, Morgan (not to mention his daughter Kristina, because she's a girl so she doesn't count).

And that's just this year.  Under Sonny's tutelage, the boy ordered a hit on his step-father at age 9, smothered his biological father with a pillow at age 10 (they rewrote it so that Michael didn't actually kill AJ, but that doesn't change the fact that he tried to), and had an imaginary friend into his p*****n years because none of his real schoolmates' parents would let their kids play a mobster's psychotic son.  In comparison, his other two children are lucky that he mostly ignores them (unless it's to bellow about his rights to be a father, which according to him are more important than his children's rights to live to see their next birthdays).  I'd nominate Sonny for Worst Father Of The Decade.
