I want sooo much to answer this one, but I need a bit of info, first.  Where was this picture taken?  State, general region?  It's a little hard to tell because it's a baby and still has pin feathers on it's head, but it will certainly help to narrow it down to know where the picture was taken.

Edit - OKAY!!!  I found it!  It was driving me crazy, cause it looks like something I've seen before, but wouldn't be in your region (what with it being a California Towhee and all).  It was one of those, "this is on the tip of my tongue" obsessions, so I checked the list of Louisiana birds and checked birds closely related to Towhee's, found a picture of a baby Indigo Bunting, and VOILA!  http://grd-jerry.home.att.net/baby_indig...

I feel rather accomplished seeing as I've never seen a Bunting in real life before...and wonder if the obsession was worth it, haha.  Okay, I'm good...
