Of if you like ' shooting fish in a barrel' go into the streets and ask any French Quebec person, what the English did in the 1800's im sure they will line up to tell you, as though it happened last week lol ;)~

But serously, Montreal has people from  near enough,all over the world. It has areas that are known to be a popular place for people from a particular part of the world to settle- i.e Greek, Italian, Jewish areas.

I lived on Montreal island for a few years , and moved to the south-shore, before returning  to UK lol
