  1. Jam

  2. Jam, as someone else has said.  Found out the surreal way when an American offered me a "peanut butter and jelly sandwich".

  3. You call jam jelly. You also call jelly jell-o. Who knows why?

  4. jelly-o

  5. Fruit Spread or Fruit Preserves.

  6. If you're asking what we call 'jelly' then we call it the same.

  7. jelly-good, ol chap

  8. I assume you mean 'What's the English for, jelly?'  I also assume you mean jam, but we also have fruit jelly that we spread on bread or use as a sweetner in milk puddings, etc.  We also have jelly, but you Americans (assuming you are American) call that jello, I believe.  Why not buy yourself a Concise Oxford English Dictionary?  All your English language questions will be answered there.

  9. sometimes referred to as preserves
