And yet again another ps3 spec question?

so i have a router(ethernet) that i tried on my ps2 to get online

unforunately it didnt work

is there a chance it will work on my ps3 i will be getting next month?

the internet setup on the ps3 is much much better than the ps2. ps2's ethernet functionality is really c**p. there were routers that didn't work for the ps2. lolz.

i believe that there are some routers that don't play nice with playstations.  you should go onto one of the many forums out there. they have extensive lists.

Why didn't it work with the PS2?

If the router is working then it should work for the PS3...

Online gaming was a late after thought for the PS2... PS3 ground up was for online gaming.

Well I'm a little confused do you have a wireless router if the answer is yes than that means you can use the ps3's wifi. If you have ethernet than you can get a cable which hooks up to the back of you ps3 and allows to play online. In my opinion the ps3's internet setup is easier than ps2's so i still believe that there is a chance for it too work the manual should help after you buy it.
