Anderiego bidding for a hat-trick at York through the Betfair. Don’t Settle For Less Stakes (Handicap)

The four-year-old bay gelding, Anderiego, gets the nod for the Class 2 Betfair. Don’t Settle For Less Stakes (Handicap). The mile race will be hosted by York on Thursday, 23rd August and has attracted twenty contestants who are three-year and
above in age. They will try their luck for the £46,688 prize money.
The David O’Meara trained, Anderiego, has raced seven times during the new season and has displayed a remarkably improved form through the last two outings that he under took.
The seasonal debut of the Irish bay gelding was in the Deloitte Handicap on 18th May, 2012 at Newcastle over seven furlongs. He ended fourth as the favourite entry of the race, Capaill Liath, won the race by the margin of two lengths.
The first seasonal success of Invincible Spirit’s bay gelding was in the John Smith’s Racing Stakes (Handicap) on 14th July, 2012 at York over a mile. The beginning of the race was not really strong for the four-year-old however towards the end
of it he was prominent, covering ground at an almost deceptive speed. He led inside the final furlong and defeated the runner-up, Levitate, by 2 ½ lengths.
Coming at terms with the third position was the favourite entry of the race was, Silvery Moon.
The very next outing of the Ebor Racing Club owned was at York again. The Irish bay gelding won the Skybet Supporting The Yorkshire Racing Festival Stakes (Handicap) on 27th July, 2012 over a mile.  
Entered as the favourite of the race, Anderiego, tracked the leaders and made some commendable progress for three furlongs. He took on the lead over a furlong out, was ridden but even then edged past the runner-up, Askaud, by a length.
Take It To The Max reserved the third position behind the winner.
The four-year-old out of, Anna Frid, is on for the eighth outing of the season and a hat-trick at York. The Gerrardstown House Stud bred will be paired up with jockey, Kieren Fallon, and the two will break from the sixth gate.
He will need to look out for competition as the four-year-old will get challenged by some entries who have been active recently.
