Anderlecht striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Romelu-Lukaku-c31672 could give up dream move to Chelsea for development
Romelu Lukaku, the 18-year-old Anderlecht striker, revealed he could be staying with the Belgian outfit for the upcoming season instead of completing his dream move to English Premier League giants Chelsea. The youngster labelled as the “new Drogba”, previously claimed he wanted to make a move to the London club, but since then seems to have changed his mind.
Lukaku said he was aware of the fact that he might not get a chance to play regular football at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and was afraid that would affect his development as a player. Having already established himself as one of the top young strikers in Europe, Lukaku is determined to improve further and become the best forward in the world.
However, that dream might have to be put on hold if he makes his dream move to Stamford Bridge in the current summer transfer window. The Blues have already met Anderlecht’s price for the striker, making a bid of £20 million for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Belgium-c2850 international, but Lukaku revealed he was not as keen to make a move to Chelsea anymore.
Lukaku said while speaking to reporters:
“I want to go to a club where I can develop further. It’s not that I just want to be transferred to Chelsea.
At the moment I am patient. I remain at Anderlecht and I am not thinking of a transfer.”
Lukaku insisted he was focused on playing for Anderlecht, having joined the club in their pre-season training. He said he was not currently thinking of a move away and was willing to wait until the right time came along. Lukaku also revealed he was not interested on making a move to a club and then being sent on a loan move.
He was specifically referring to Thibaut Courtois, the 19-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Racing-c40298 Genk goal keeper Chelsea had bought during the summer transfer window only to loan out to La Liga side Atletico Madrid. While the Blues loaned out the talented goal keeper so he would gain valuable first team experience, Lukaku revealed he would not be satisfied with similar treatment.
Lukaku continued:
“When I do leave, it will not to be lent on as Thibaut Courtois has been.”
