Anders Lindegaard wants to fight for Manchester United first-team spot
Manchester United keeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Anders-Lindegaard-c5553 has gone on to state that he is willing to fight for the number one jersey at Manchester United. The keeper has admitted that he has what it takes to replace Edwin Van Der Sar and all he really need now, is the
opportunity to do so.
Lindegaard, when talking about his future at the club, is reported to have said: “For me, it's about being number one. That is what it's all about - playing. I enjoy competing and, so far, I feel very good.
The keeper then went on to admit that the competition at the club was at an all time high, but he felt he was in the safe zone, due to the performances that he had been putting in pre-season training.
Lindegaard then went on to add: “There is big competition in all the spots but, so far, I'm very satisfied with my own performances.”
“I think I've played very well so I believe in my chance. I'm not scared at all. I am very proud of representing Manchester United. It is the biggest dream in my career come true."
United recently went on to complete the signing of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, prior to his move to Old Trafford.
Due to the experience that De Gea has, despite being younger than Lindegaard, he is being favoured to be given the nod over Lindegaard and be offered the starting role at the club.
Nonetheless, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson recently went on to address this issue that the club might encounter and stated that all the players would be given an equal opportunity to prove their worth and those who come out on top, would be rewarded appropriately.
Based on the competitive environment that has been created at Old Trafford, it seems like the team is going to explode on to the scene, this coming season. The players at the club seem to be more motivated than they have ever been and the new additions to
the squad also want to leave their mark on the club.
As a result, irrelevant of what player competes with what player for which ever spot, what is going to happen, is that the Red Devils will be fielding the strongest team that they have, which when mixed with Ferguson’s tactics, is going to make United stronger
than it has ever been.
