Anderson Silva: I will beat Chael Sonnen 10 more times if asked to do so – UFC News
Anderson Silva, the current UFC middleweight champion, commented that Chael Sonnen does not deserve a title shot again, adding that he is just an employee of Ultimate Fighting Championship and will beat Chael 10 more times if he is asked to do so.
Silva and Sonnen are just a day away from their epic title clash. The duo recently met at the pre-bout press conference and bashed each other. This will be the second time that UFC’s two best middleweights will collide.
In their first onslaught, it was Anderson who rose at the occasion by grabbing a submission win over Chael. Although the win was just by an inch and Sonnen became the first brawler to even punch Silva but still a win is a win and on August 27, 2011, Silva
successfully defended his gold.
Before the bout the duo have exceptionally did well in bashing each other verbally and for the past few days Chael and Silva have vowed to break even each other’s bones and teeth. The intensity with every passing day has increased and now at the pre-bout
press conference, Silva bashed Chael for being a whining brawler who just complains.
When asked as to what he thinks about Chael, Anderson stated, “For him to be able to strike with me standing up, he’ll have to be a magician. It’s impossible for him to stand up with me. If you train 100 percent, the results will be 100 percent. I’m 100
percent trained and the results will be 100 percent.”
Silva while pin pointing the fact that he and Chael are elite belligerents and should not cross the ethical limits in any way, commented, “I don’t believe Chael deserves the rematch, but I’m an employee of the UFC. If I have to go out and beat him 10 more
times, I’ll beat him 10 more times.”
Anderson and Silva will headline UFC 148 pay-per-view and the octagon for the showdown will be set up at MGM Grand Garden Arena situated in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
The odds, this time, are in favour of Anderson Silva, who in his last clash with Chael has proved that he is the man who can grab a win while in even seriously grave scenarios.
Anderson will enter his career’s 36th mixed martial art bout whereas as the American proud Sonnen will enter the octagon for the 40th time. The bout will be televised live on July 7, 2012.
