UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva is confident about his speed and accuracy, but he is not sure if he can match Stephan Bonnar’s power. Therefore, the Brazilian champion wants to end his fight against Bonnar at UFC 153 in the first round.
Silva and Bonnar, both were present at an open workout at the Arcos de Lapa, Rio. Silva praised Bonnar’s fighting skills, saying that the American fighter has a huge physique and good BJJ.
“Stephan Bonnar is a great fighter; his story is a big part of the UFC,” said Silva. “He’s big, big guy but I feel good not to have to cut weight to middleweight. For me, it is very important to retire undefeated, and I want to retire undefeated in the UFC.”
Silva remains an unbeaten fighter and the most elite one in UFC. He is a world renowned mixed martial artists, who has faced some of the fiercest fighters in the organisation yet has survived. Even though Stephan Bonnar is no match for Silva, the ‘Spider’
still does not want to take any chances. After all, Bonnar is in the mood to surprise the world!
“This is a tricky night for me Saturday. He has good BJJ and brings the fight. If I have the chance, I will finish this fight in one round. Stephan Bonnar always fights so hard. I will have more speed, more agility than him, but I don’t know about the power.
So if I see the chance, I will finish this quickly,” asserted Silva.
