Anderson Silva vs Roy Jones JR?

Anderson Silva recently said he wants to box Roy jones jr b/c Boxers have shown disrespect to MMA.

I think anderson silva is the best mma striker in the world but i dont think he would have a chance in h**l of out boxing roy jones. but i also dont think any boxer could step into MMA and beat someone like anderson silva.

is there a better of Silva beating Jones jr in boxing or Jones jr beating Silva in MMA ?

in my opinion silva is a great striker but there is no way he would out box roy, even though roy is past his best.

but then again i believe silva would probably beat roy in a mma match, he'd have too many weapons for him.

i'd love to see these kind of match ups happen, they would be interesting and i think fight fans would definately pay to see them.

Probably Silva beating Jones in a boxing match, he might get a surprise KO.  Great question though.  I really dont think either of them could take the other in their own sport, however I dont think there is any chance of Roy Jones beating Silva in the cage so I would have to say boxing for Silva.

I'd pay big cash to see Roy Jones make a woman out of Silva in the boxing ring.  Silva might as well grab a golf club and try to win the masters.

Boxers have a better chance in MMA than MMA-ers have in the boxing ring.

They are both such amazing athletes in their respective styles, so it's hard to say. I love Roy Jones Jr. I'm a huge fan of his. Silva goes for his in MMA, I would never say that he's not a great fighter, but I think that Jones would give him a run for his money if he kept his mind and feet right during the fight. They are among two of the best in each of their fighting styles.

I think that Silva is brave calling out an old worn out Roy Rones Jr.  Why don't he call out Steve Cunningham or even David Haye.  You can even take this seriously.

In a boxing match Jones Jr would totally DESTROY Silva.

In MMA now that would be closer but Silva would beat Jones Jr with relative ease

Wow I respect , Anderson for finally stepping up and saying something about this. Boxers always think mma practitioners are thugs , and dont train as hard as they do. ANd they dont think much of their skills. I think Anderson would win a MMA match , but I seriously cant see him out boxing Roy Jones JR. I mean that's like fighting a shark in the middle of a Ocean. Anderson is out of his element he should have at least challenged him to K-1 rules. If its by the mark of the queens bury , then Anderson is in trouble , but hey , maybe he can score a lucky knock out.

In a boxing match, i definatly think roy jones jr would win.  roy is a dope *** fighter and would out box silva.  as for a mma match, if jones stays quick and on his feet, and avoid the ground, he might have a chance of winning, but silva would most likely dominate. It would be interesting to see a real boxing match between the two, since they are both superb athletes.
