Anderson/Troicki down Bossel/Laaksonen to reach round quarters – Swiss Indoors 2012
South African-Serbian junction, Kevin Anderson and Viktor Troicki, stomped over the local wild card entrants, Adrien Bossel and Henri Laaksonen, in straight sets at the Swiss Indoors 2012 on Wednesday. They juggled up a 6-2, 6-2 victory against their rivals
to progress into the quarter-finals at this indoor hard court event held in Basel, Switzerland.
The South African-Serbian junction displayed awe-inspiring skills and co-ordination, eventually carving out the victory in almost an hour at the St. Jakobshalle. Battling each other for the first time, Anderson and Troicki took lead in the FedEx ATP (Association
of Tennis Professionals) Head 2 Head Series by 1-0 against their opponents and secured a place in the final eight.
Anderson and Troicki made a strong entry at this ATP World Tour 500 series event taking place from 20th to 28th October. They drew the first blood in the second game and jumped to a 3-0 lead. The South African-Serbian duo lost their
edge in the fifth game but went berserk after that, eventually reeling off last three games. Anderson and Troicki tremendously brushed off four out of five breakpoints they faced and cashed three out of six break chances to formulate a 6-2 success.
Pairing up for the first time, Anderson and Troicki maintained consistency in their game in the following set. After the Swiss tandem kept their serve in the fourth game, the South African-Serbian pair winded up the following four games and cinched the set
with a 6-2 score line.  They were never threatened with any breakpoint and converted two out of five break chances to their advantage.
All in all, Anderson and Troicki capitalised on many double faults their opponents spilled. They clobbered a higher first serve share of 67 per cent as compared to their rivals’ 64 per cent and amazingly clinched 23 out of 28 points on it.
They will next face the Italian-Czech junction, Daniele Bracciali and Frantisek Cermak, who stunned third seeds, Pakistan’s Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi and Netherlands’ Jean-Julien Rojer, in a three-set thriller to set this meeting. They were broken twice but cashed
three out of four break chances to formulate a 6-4, 6-7(5), 10-6 victory.
