Anderson silva vs. james irvin?

i see lots of talk about it on mma websites saying its going to be on spike tv

First of all, they don't fight at the same weight class.  Silva is the reigning 185lb champ while Irvin has been fighting at 205 (last beating Houston Alexander by ko in 8 seconds).

Secondly Irvin had to back out of his last fight which was scheduled at UFC 85 (two weeks ago) due to injury.

So I really don't see this fight happening.  W Silva vs Vera is the biggest rumor I have heard.

hey i think this fight is going to happen  on spike tv it should be a good one i m kind of rooting for james irvin hey at least it will be free and on the same day as the affliction card july 19th i think

Anderson Silva is moving up to lightheavy weight to fight irvin.... It's a simply a tuneup fight to see how anderson handles 205. Plus its going to be on July 19th and its the UFC's attempt to take viewers away from the affliction show.
