  1. Yushin Okami could pose a threat, but Anderson Silva's striking is far superior to any fighter I've seen.

  2. Cote is not a threat. It's likely that these two will fight at UFC 88 (since Okami has injured his hand) and Anderson will destroy him. Cote has a weak ground game, and his best asset (striking/power) is still far behind Anderson Silva. Cote is not better at any aspect of MMA.

Bisping could be interesting, he's similar to Cote. He's got good strikes and a mediocre ground game. Bisping is a much smarter fighter than Cote though and I think would do better than Cote (he'd still lose though).

The ones I like are Palhares and Filho (while Filho is in WEC, Dana White has mentioned moving the 185+ fighters from WEC into the UFC). Palhares and Filho both have sick BJJ games. If they can take Silva down they stand a chance. Face it, SIlva is not going to get Ko'ed. He's never even been knocked down by a strike. He has shown some weakness on the ground in prior fights and I think it will take someone like Palhares or Filho to make a fight out of it. You can not stand and trade with Anderson Silva.

  3. You forgot Demian Maia. His jiu-jitsu is on par with Jacare (imo) and he would break silva's limb or put him to sleep.

  4. hmmm, i would say that the threat these guys pose to anderson silva is about the same threat that i would pose to godzilla...

i hear where your coming from, actually okami beat silva but only because of an illegal strike or something...

watching bispings fights have been pathetic, its like dana white is paying his opponents to turtle shell and fold...bisping wouldnt make it longer than james irvin...

dean lister would be a good one...but the only way the fight gets to the ground is when silva knocks him out.

  5. you forgot ricardo almeida he should have beaten cote it was boring fight but i believe he won the other one is a rematch with dan henderson

  6. I would love to see Silva fight Yushin Okami. I think that would be a great fight. Silva's not perfect though. Travis Lutter almost beat him eariler this year. I would like to see a rematch with them but Lutter isn't with the UFC any longer.

  7. How about all of them back to back. Then maybe the last couple might stand a chance.
