Manchester United have been on the lookout in order to find a suitable heir to the throne of Paul Scholes at Old Trafford.
The midfield magician went on to call it quits on his career as a professional footballer at the end of last season and following his retirement, United have been in the search to find a replacement for the midfielder.
However, United midfielder and Brazilian international, Anderson has gone on to state that he wishes for the chance to replace Scholes. The midfielder feels that he has had ample experience and quality to fill in for the player
and the only thing left, if for the manager to realize the player’s potential and give him the nod.
Anderson, when talking about Scholes and the possibility of replacing him, is quoted to have said: “Scholes was one player where I learn a lot, he was unbelievable and for me the best midfielder in the world.
"Scholes was amazing, a legend, but it means more opportunity, more space for me.
"I think Scholes was very important for the team as he had amazing quality, but I think everyone together can take his position."
Despite the offer from Anderson sounding to be a rather decent one, the timings for his comments are a little off.
Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Gill recently went on to report that the club were on the look out to land one more player and with almost all departments of the team now being full; the only type of player left for them to sign is a midfielder.
The team has been linked with moves for two of the best midfielders in the business. Arsenal’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799 have both been rumoured to be on the brink of moving into the team and should Gill’s words be accurate, one of them
is going to sign for the team, over the course of the coming fortnight.
According to most experts, Sneijder is the perfect replacement for Scholes, mainly due to the fact that the two play almost the same style of football.
Both are brilliant at shooting, passing and can dictate the run of play all day long. On the other hand Nasri is a little bit more of a flair player and United are already overloaded with players, who full fill that department.
Should United land Sneijder, then Anderson will have to wait a little longer to break into the first team at Old Trafford. While, if the team fails to do so, then they would have no option, but to utilize Anderson this coming season.
