Andhra v Goa - http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kumar-Shri-Ranjitsinhji-c71870 Trophy - Group C - Day 3 – Live Score and Update
Andhra 393 v http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Goa-c786 285/9 (111.0 ov) - Goa trail by 108 runs with 1 wicket remaining in the 1st innings
Ranji Trophy’s Group C match between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andhra-c764 and Goa is apparently heading towards a draw, where both sides are yet to bat for the second time with only a day left at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.
This is certainly a batting track where the batsmen have, so far, had a spectacular time in hammering away the fielding side.
Andhra, who were put into bat, exhibited their supreme batting when they bolstered a mammoth first innings score of 393, with D Shivkumar staying unbeaten on an impressive knock of 106.
On the other hand, Goa’s SS Bandekar and HH Gadekar were not bad either as they took five and four wickets to at least save their side from complete humiliation.
Goa then had a humble start to their first innings, where by the end of the second day, they managed to post 72 runs on the board for the loss of only a wicket.
For Andhra, it was imperative to bowl-out their opponents on Monday to give Goa a big total to chase after bolstering an intimidating score in their second innings.
However, it was completely a different ballgame today, as the wicket had further dried out, becoming almost impossible for bowlers to make any impact.
The morning was disastrous for Andhra, as their bowlers were completely outplayed by SK Kamat and AS Desai. The two batsmen continued their supreme form and took the score to 72 before Kamat perished after making 46 runs. He was caught by Pradeep off Sahabuddin.
AS Desai was then joined in the middle by MS Bisla, as the batting pair led their side to 116, leaving the fielding side in complete discomfort.
Bisla was then the next man to walk off the field as he was picked up by Shivkumar after belting 30 runs.
Andhra then made a reluctant comeback, managing to grab nine wickets by the end of the day with Goa’s http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ravikant-Shukla-c84215 standing on 84 runs.
