The 22-year-old played the whole 90 minutes in the opening match of the 2012/2013 Ligue campaign against newly promoted side, Stade de Reims. But the Ghanaian sustained an injury in the match and now is a major doubt for Marseille’s next match of the campaign.

Ayew underwent the knife in May and had only returned to full fitness few weeks ago. However, the 22-year-old is once again on the sidelines after twisting his knee in the 1-0 win over Les rouges et blancs last week.
However, the injury isn’t considered to be a serious one and Marseille’s medical staff is hopeful that the player will resume training within a week.
Andre Ayew was the star for Elie Baup’s side against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eskisehirspor-c39020 last week, in which the Ghana international scored a brace to secure a convincing 4-1 win against the Turkish outfit.
Although Ayew will start training this week, the match against Sochaux have arrived a little early for the Ghanaian. Elie Baup will not take the risk of playing the talented player in the next match.

And according to reports, Les Phoceens have refused to release Andre Ayew for Ghana’s friendly match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/China-c8926 that will take place on Wednesday, as the club fears that the player will exaggerate his injury if he plays for the national side.
Sochaux are the next task for Elie Baup and after winning his first game in charge, the Frenchman would be hoping for a good solid performance from his team at Stade Velodrome this Saturday.
OM are set to face Moldovan side, Sheriff Tiraspol, in the Europa League play-offs on Wednesday, 23August 2012. And Andre Ayew is expected to be fit for that match with Marseille looking to seal a place in the group stages of UEFA's second-tier club competition.
