The 30-year-old completed his season-long loan move to the Rhone giants earlier this month, but he won’t be able to play for the Ligue 1 outfit until November because of the ban imposed on him by the FA, following his red card in the last game of the previous
Premier League season.
His arrival in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 has been welcomed by Marseille players, and Andre Ayew, cannot wait to see Joey Barton in action.
While talking to reporters, the 22-year-old stated that he is pleased with Marseille’s decision to sign the former Newcastle United midfielder, and his addition will further strengthen Elie Baup’s side.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ghana-c2905 international stated that Barton is a really nice guy and he is fun to have around. The Englishman has tremendous amount of experience under his belt and Ayew thinks that the former Manchester City man is a welcome addition to the dressing room.
“He is truly a nice person. I don’t know what people think of him, but it is really nice to have a guy like him in the dressing room.”
When asked about Barton’s troublesome past, the Marseille player stated that the midfielder is an aggressive player and he wants to win all the time, which gets him in trouble sometimes.
“It's maybe the case that, on the pitch, he is different, with another kind of desire, another kind of commitment, another kind of aggression.”
However, Ayew believes that away from the pitch, Barton is a great person and is very nice with people. Media has portrayed wrong image of him and he is not like that at all.
"But away from it he's truly a good person."
With international break coming up, Joey Barton will get enough time to get in touch with his Marseille colleagues, and the England international would be hoping to stay away from controversies in France.
