Andre ‘The Beast’ Berto is coming to the ring after getting defeated by Victor Ortiz in their 12-round bout in April 2011 at the Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut. Berto lost a unanimous points decision and his WBC Welterweight title in the process.
According to many boxing analysts, Berto is the heavy favourite of this world boxing championship.
Berto won the WBC Welterweight Championship winning a seventh round technical knockout decision over Miguel Rodriguez.
The Welterweight contender Zaveck is going to fight for the first time in United States. Jan ‘Mr. Sympathikus’ Zaveck is the only Slovenian boxer ever to hold a world boxing champion belt.
The 35-year-old Zaveck is coming to the ring after winning six consecutive fights. Zaveck scored his 18th knockout decision fighting against Paul Delgado in his last fight in February 2011 at the Sportpark Arena in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It was
his fourth IBF Welterweight title defence. In his second last fight, Zaveck won a 12-round decision against Paul Delgado in 2010.
